GLENN PRAY CORD #25 - $37,500
SOLD
The Cord was bought by Safeway in 1966 and used as a Door Prize. The Cord was moved from store to store all over Tulsa and the surrounding area. A man who lived in west Tulsa won the drawing for the car. It is unsure how long he kept the car but it did eventually end up in Florida. A gentleman who owned a body shop and his sons did a total rebuild on this Cord. The mechanical was totally gone through but I think they installed the wrong pressure plate. This car is powered by the Corvair 180 Turbo Engine and has a 4 speed transmission. The clutch does slip a little; it could be the adjustment but not sure. The paint and chrome trim are new, paint is a tan/gold, interior is also tan in color. The man that was restoring the car passed away a week before finishing the car, so we finished the interior. This Cord looks great, but, it will need someone to fix or adjust the clutch.
